If you mean checking your credit report, you can do that, and get an immediate copy, at the following government-endorsed website:

    http://www.annualcreditreport.com

At the above website you are entitled, every 12 months, to a copy of your credit report from each of the three major US credit bureaus: Expedia, Experian, and TransUnion.

When you first visit the site, you will be asked a variety of questions to verify your identity. If you answer those questions correctly, you will be directed, in turn, to each of the three credit bureaus, where you can see your credit report, and even print out a copy for your records.

only bad thing about the free credit reports is they make you pay for the scores.

The only site where you can get your free credit report (all Americans are entitled to one free credit report within a 12-month period from each of the three agencies) is http://credit-info.we.bs/ but no credit scores. Credit scores are available as an add-on feature of the report, for a fee. This central site allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. In the so called ‘free credit score’ sites, you will have to sign up for their ‘other services’ to check your score for free.

    Best of Luck…
