apply for a credit card you know you wont be able to get. they will send you a rejection letter and the credit bureau that they used you then do what the paper says and they will send you your credit score. cost you the stamp. or apply for a loan at a bank. and do the same.

i don’t know of a way to get your score for free but you can go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp and get a free copy of your report from all three companies once a year. last year the scores cost about $7 – 10 from each co.
you can also get this same link from the federal trade commission. applying for a loan you know you won’t get hurts your score

    http://www.experiangroup.com/ . . . there’s a free report here

At some point, its a good idea to pay for the full report so you have all of the detail on the bureau report.

The free reports are highly summarized.

There are two different things. Your credit report and your credit score.

Your credit SCORE will always cost you, or require you to sign up for something and then cancel. If you don’t cancel you will get charged.

Your can get your credit REPORT for free. You are allowed one per year from each of the big 3(TransUnion, Experian, Equifax). You can go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com for this.

Also, to the answer who said you get a free score when you get rejected. That is partially correct. You do not get your SCORE, but you can get a copy of your report and that will not go against your other free one’s you are allowed.
